I have reverted back to one gear and I'm LOVIN IT! This year long project is quickly becoming an addiction. I'm new to it and there are a lot of intricacies to learn, but the exotic simplicity of it is refreshing. I had a fellow mtb racer tell me that if I went single, it'd end up being my favorite bike in the stable. He may very well be right. Can't wait to hit the single track this week and revisit 1993 - when 95% of bikes were rigid and heavy, kooka meant cool, 8 speed was bitchin, Onza pedals were it, and I hit the trails for the first time.
